Dear Councillors,
As many of you will know, I am currently the Chairman of the Conservative Policy Forum – The Forum where Conservative Party Members have their say on Conservative Party policy.
This is a very exciting time for the CPF - with a new CPF Voluntary Director, Hannah David and a new CPF Manager at CCHQ soon to be appointed. A new CPF discussion programme is being formulated (with the first paper on “Housing” coming out by the end of January), new streamlined discussion paper procedures are being put in place and new website and social media platforms are being created.
Ultimately the aim is to create a 21st Century National forum, accessible to all regardless of age or location that has real influence on Party policy.
This is where you can help.
As elected members, you are best placed to “lead from the front” in Local and National Policy debates and to get involved in the work of the CPF. As CPF Chairman, I want to encourage you please to make contact with your local CPF Group (or your Association) and see how you can get involved – whether that be through helping the Association to start a new group; leading and participating in debates or through encouraging membership. Your input could make a real difference.
All that is left to say, is thank you for all your work for the Party – it is because of people like you that we have returned David Cameron to No.10 and a Conservative Government to Westminster.
I very much look forward to working with you in the CPF in the future.
Kind regards and Seasons Greetings,

The Right Honourable Dr Oliver Letwin, FRSA MP
Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster
Chairman of the Conservative Policy Forum
