Eddisbury CPF

As an excellent start to August for the CPF, Hannah David was delighted to be invited to speak to Party members in the Eddisbury constituency, Cheshire. The purpose of the meeting was to explain the importance of the CPF for the voluntary party and for a CPF debate to be held. The meeting was the largest attended so far by the National Director and we were delighted to be joined by the local MP, Antoinette Sandbach.

Prior to the event, and at the request of the CPF lead Sam Brooks, the CPF prepared a “special interest” discussion paper on the Northern Powerhouse. Questions that were discussed included what excited people about it and what fears they had. Ideas and suggestions from the debate will be passed through to the new Northern Powerhouse Minister, Andrew Percy.

Many thanks to the organiser Sam Brooks and all those who attended for an excellent evening with a lively and interesting debate – an excellent example of how the CPF can work!

CPF encourages all groups to contact the CPF at CCHQ for help putting together “special interest” discussion papers and encourages members to use the “micro-policy” initiative online.
