The CPF has sent to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, the Rt Hon Greg Clark MP for his consideration a summary of CPF groups' responses to the recent housing paper. As soon as we have a formal response, this will be sent to participating groups.
On a separate note, as members will be aware, the PM has announced his resignation and a leadership contest will now ensue. Over the next few weeks we will see a great amount of campaigning activity and we have been asked to embark on our next policy paper when we have digested the new PM's agenda for Government. This will ensure that it is relevant and pertinent to our next Conservative administration.
The discussion paper on Conservative values has consequently been postponed until after 2 September, once the new PM has been chosen. Perhaps groups can use any planned meetings to discuss the different leadership contenders’ platforms, a local issue or else one of the open Government consultations.
