George Freeman MP

The Prime Minister has appointed George Freeman, the MP for Mid Norfolk, as the Chairman of the CPF and Chair of the Prime Minister's Policy Board.

George describes himself as “a committed One Nation Conservative reformer.” Working with the Prime Minister and her team, he will help to shape “the new Government's programme on the deep economic and social reforms needed to make the economy work for everyone in our society.”

For the previous two years he served as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Life Sciences at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and the Department of Health.

George succeeds Oliver Letwin as Chairman of the CPF. The CPF would like to place on record the Forum’s appreciation for all the work Oliver did in helping to relaunch the Forum. We look forward to working equally closely with George to ensure that members are able to exercise real influence on Party policy as, together, we seek to secure a better future for Britain and for every one of the country’s citizens.
