Now that the elections of early May are behind us, it has been encouraging to see responses to the discussion paper on housing being submitted each day from CPF Groups around the country. The CPF team has also been pleased to help old groups to re-launch and new ones to form.
Last weekend, for example, CPF National Director Hannah David was delighted to join representatives and key volunteers from across the Northamptonshire Associations. During the question and answer session, several interesting suggestions were put forward for the CPF. These included a CPF awards programme for best contributing CPF groups and a request that the National Director highlight, for instance in the CPF report to the National Convention at Conference, the actual impact that CPF discussions have had on policy. The CPF hopes to deliver on both of these suggestions. Many thanks to the organisers of this event – Cllr Simon Clifford and Lydia Smith and to all those who participated in this meeting.
Don't forget: the deadline for submissions on the current paper is 13 June, so there is still time for your association to meet and join the national conversation, if it has not already done so. For news on the next papers planned, see our previous news article.
