Flick was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Portsmouth South from 2015 until 2017. Previously, she used to work as an insurance broker, Ofsted lay school inspector and was a member of the TA Intelligence Corps. She is trustee of the Citizens Advice Bureau and Chair of the SE Region of the Veterans Advisory and Pensions Committee. She has also served on Winchester City Council and, during five years in the USA, campaigned for John McCain. She is married with 4 grown up children
