CPF Champion for social mobility
Virginia is a maths teacher with a background in healthcare and banking. She stood as a candidate in the 2017 General Election in Rhondda, Wales and achieved the party’s highest vote share since 1979.
Virginia is Director of Women2Win, which was co-founded by the Prime Minister in 2005, and leads the campaign to elect more women into local government and Parliament. Virginia is responsible for supporting and mentoring women on the Parliamentary candidate list, focusing on policy, public speaking and digital media. As Deputy Chair Political for Kensington, Chelsea & Fulham Conservative Association, Virginia is actively involved in campaign strategy, supporting the team and encouraging new members. She also works with the Vice-Chair of the Party, James Cleverley on the Communities Working group and is responsible for fundraising for her North West CWO group.
Virginia was a dolphin trainer for Terry Nutkin (Animal Magic, BBC1). She has a Degree in Microbiology and worked at GlaxoWellcome before becoming a Pharmaceutical Analyst at UBS and HSBC. She chaired the charity Save the Baby at St Mary’s Hospital and is Governor at Ark Brunel Academy, North Kensington. She currently teaches Maths at the Masbro Adult Community Centre and mentors students for IntoUniversity.
